And then there was war, the Great War, which disrupted the lives of all the inhabitants of San Donà di Piave. The city was the scene of fierce battles that left deep and painful scars in local history.

But the community of San Donà di Piave never gave up. They fought, resisted, and rebuilt. And today, the city shines with a new light, made of renewal and hope.
